This tour is not just a single joyride, but also a travel in time, history and culture as well. During this fascinating 16 days you will ride and discover Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina and finally the mystery of the Balkan will be unveiled by yourselves.
Your guides will wait for you at the airport and escort you to the hotel in Budapest, the capitol city of Hungary. Depends on your arrival and time available, you can discover this beautiful city. We recommend that you arrive a few days prior to the trip, we can offer you programs. At the evening, when all the group members arrive, we all gather for an excellent dinner to get know each other and the tour guide gives a short briefing about the tour.
After a nice breakfast in the hotel, we mount our motorbikes and start the tour. First day is for familiarization with the bike, with the country, so the daily distance is not too long. An easy ride around the lake Balaton, on a lovely country roads and beautiful countryside.
The evening will find us in the lovely region in western Hungary, called Őrség.

A beautiful ride in Slovenia, hidden roads, lovely Slovenian countryside. On this day we ride across almost the whole country in length, and discover the real Slovenia. Our daily target is Postojna, in the western region of Slovenia. The city is famous for its Cave system, what is without doubt one of the most diverse cave systems in the world.

Daily distance: 310 km.
Two attractions right in the morning: visit in the Postonja cave system, its 24 kilometres of passages, galleries and magnificent halls offer a unique experience of the underground world. Then visit Predjama Castle, a renaissance castle built within a cave mouth, only 10 km from Postonja. The daily ride is not too much in the afternoon, we leave Slovenia and ride into Croatia, to Istria, the largest peninsula in the Adriatic Sea. A heart-shaped peninsula has a special aura, here meets the continental Croatia with the Adriatic. The bucolic interior of rolling hills and fertile plains attracts visitors to Istria’s hilltop villages, rural hotels and farmhouse restaurants, while the verdant indented coastline is enormously popular with the sun-and-sea set. Let’s stay either in Rovinj or Porec for the night, the evening walk in the fascinating old city center is provided.

Daily distance: 130 km.
Ride across Istria, small roads, lovely villages and a castle in Motovun, an ancient Istrian town located in the inland of Istria which has been attracting people from all over the world for centuries because of its location and exceptional beauty. On the eastern side of the peninsula there is road 66, an ideal winding road for an enjoyable ride. There are some iconic settlements around the Kvarner bay we ride through like Opatija or Rijeka.

Daily distance: 200 km.
The iconic Adriatic coastal road, Jadranska Magistrala, or The Adriatic Highway is a road that stretches along the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea and is part of the European route E65. This norther section of the road is the best riding road of the world! On the right there’s the blue Adriatic Sea, on the left there are white rocks and the good quality winding road allows the maximum joy. At one point we interrupt the seafront winding and go up to Kubus Ura viewpoint to look back from 1000-meter altitude to the little islands. Before arriving in Zadar, one of the most popular coastal towns, we ride through the fascinating Maslenica bridge.

Daily distance: 220 km.
Continue the lovely ride on the Adriatic Sea coast to south. The blue water still on the right, the white rocks on the left and many winding turns ahead us. We ride all day like this and have a lunch break in Makarska in a lovely harbour with plenty of restaurants. At the evening we arrive in Dubrovnik, the most famous old town of the Adriatic coast. A walk in the city center after the sunset is really something to remember.

Dubrovnik, a town built around a fortress along the Adriatic coast, is too interesting and beautiful to simply pass-through. Enjoy the day sightseeing, taking a boat trip, or walking around the town and take a cable car-ride up to the Mount Srdj hill above the town and enjoy the most beautiful view of Dubrovnik and surrounding islands.

On this day we leave Croatia, drive through Bosnia and Herzegovina, and arrive in Montenegro on a beautiful scenery road. Between the two borders there is one of the most stunning beautiful view you just can imagine. In Montenegro we visit Ostrog Monastery, a most visited church of the Balkans, built into the rocks. Our stay for the night is at the Kotor bay, the biggest bay of the Balkans.

Beautiful view to a Kotor bay in a morning lights, then we ride through the Lovcen National Park. But before leaving the park we have to visit Lovćen's star attraction, the magnificent Njegos mausoleum that sits at the top of its second-highest peak, Jezerski Vrh (1657m). Take the 461 steps up to the entry where two granite giantesses guard the tomb of Montenegro's greatest hero. Inside, under a golden mosaic canopy, Petar II Petrović Njegoš rests in the wings of an eagle, carved from a single block of black granite. You will not forget the amazing panorama from the balcony of the mausoleum. Then we go on to south, riding along the largest lake of the Balkans, lake Skadar, lying between Montenegro and Albania. In Albania our stay for the night is near the Lake Skadar.

Leaving behind lake Shkoder we ride up to one of the most exciting serpentine roads in Albania. On the other side there is Montenegro again with its lovely forest roads and Tara River Canyon, the deepest canyon in Europe. The canyon is 82 kilometres long, and at its deepest point is around 1,300 meters (4,300 feet) deep. These parameters make the Tara River Canyon one of the deepest river canyons in Europe, and indeed the world. We will ride through the canyon on a Tara Bridge, and if you are brave enough, you can fly over the canyon on a zipline.

We start the day in the Durmitor National Park right at the morning, it will amaze you with its unique aura! Region of Durmitor is the most important part of Dinara range of mountains characterized by high tops, abundant forests, deep gorges. The National Park is bordered by Rivers Piva and Tara between where there are 23 mountain tops over 2300 meters of altitude. So we ride across this miracle and then we leave Montenegro behind riding in a breath-taking Piva Canyon. In Bosnia and Herzegovina we visit Mostar and walk through its world famous old bridge. This iconic building was destroyed in the Balkan war in the early nineties, but fortunately it was rebuilt. But several other buildings still bear the wounds of the Balkan war.

Leaving Mostar we ride a while in the beautiful Neretva valley approaching Sarajevo, the „Jerusalem of the Balkans”. It is the only major European city to have a mosque, Catholic church, Orthodox church and synagogue within the same neighbourhood. The city is quite unique, overwhelmed with history – the centuries-old city center with its multi-faith architect, this is the city where the World War 1. began with the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in the streets of Sarajevo, and also the memory of the Balkan war in the 90’s and the breakup of the former Yugoslavia. But now everything is peaceful and the people of Bosnia are warm and friendly. We will spend a lovely evening in Sarajevo.

Headed north, the Bosnian winding forest roads give really a joy ride, and you will want this ride would never end. This day we leave Bosnia and Herzegovina, ride through Croatia in a short section and get back to Hungary. In the southern area of Hungary we stay for the night in One of Central Europe’s most famous thermal hotel and spas in Harkányfürdő, where we get the ancient power to heal the body and the soul after the two weeks ride.

This fairytale motorcycle trip around the Balkans has to finish at some point. But before we drop off the bikes we still take a good ride in southern Hungary. We ride across the Transdanubia hills up to Lake Balaton, the largest shallow lake in Central Europe. There we take a ferry boat to Tihany peninsula, what is famous for its Benedictine Tihany Abbey, which was founded in 1055 AD by András (Andrew) I, who is buried in the crypt, and also famous for the unique and mysterious „echo” phenomenon too. At the afternoon, as a last chapter of the tour we ride through the Balaton upland towards Budapest.

On this tour you can ride your own motorbike or you can rent one. If you are taking the tour with your own bike, before the tour please make sure all the documents and insurance for your bike are in order. Liability insurance (Green Card) is required. Due to lack of Green Card (a proof of liability insurance) or any documents you can not even enter to certain counrties!
